It was not their prettiest performance of the season but the Dubbo Kangaroos returned home from Parkes with a bonus point win after defeating the Boars 29-19 on Saturday.

The defending premiers needed a victory as they entered the weekend seven points off fifth spot and a place in the finals.

Dubbo Kangaroos captain Shaun McHugh is still confident in his side's Blowes Clothing Cup finals chances but admitted the horror injury list in 2015 is starting to take its toll.

The defending premiers sit in sixth after last week's heavy loss to Orange Emus and tomorrow they travel to Parkes to take on the seventh-placed Boars.

Three Dubbo rugby players earned the privilege of representing Country NSW against ACT last weekend.

Too big, too fast, too strong and too clinical.

That was the simple assessment of Orange Emus 41-12 bonus-point win over Dubbo Kangaroos at Caltex Park on Sunday.

The six-tries-to-two result was a fair assessment of a match in which Emus controlled things from the outset as they dominated field position and gave their electric outside backs a chance to shine.

Orange Emus ran riot against Dubbo earlier this season, but just as the greens found out in the 2014 Blowes Clothing Cup grand final, playing the Kangaroos at home is a different kettle of fish.
