Code of Conduct
Dubbo Rugby Club Inc. is a professional Rugby Union Club and expects its Players, Members and Supporters to have high levels of Personal and Professional behaviour both on and off the field. Failure to abide by the Code of Conduct of the Dubbo Rugby Club Inc. may result in having your membership withdrawn and/or being disciplined by the Disciplinary Committee of Dubbo Rugby Club.
Dubbo Rugby Club expects its Players, Members and Supporters to:
- Be modest in success and generous in defeat.
- Play by the By-Laws of the game.
- Respect the decisions of Officials.
- Promote the reputation of the game and take all reasonable steps to prevent the game from being brought into disrepute.
- Be a good sport.
- Applaud good performance and efforts from all individuals and teams.
- Condemn unsporting behaviour and promote respect for opponents.
- Condemn the use of violence in any form.
- Respect the rights, dignity and worth of all participants, regardless of their gender, ability, cultural background or religion.
- Behave in a dignified and professional manner when drinking alcohol.
- Uphold standards of integrity, dignity and professionalism.
- Act as role models.
- Don’t put yourselves, teammates or the public at risk of physical and social harm.
Dubbo Rugby Club expects its Players, Members and Supporters:
- Not to abuse, threaten, intimidate, use crude or abusive language towards Referees, Touch Judges, or other Match Officials on or off the field, or to Selectors, Coaches, Managers or other Team Officials.
- Not to show unnecessary obvious dissention, displeasure or disapproval towards a Referee, Touch Judge or Match Official, his or her decision, or generally, following a decision of a Match Official.
- Not to criticise either by word or gesture.
- Not to conduct themselves in any manner, or engage in any activity, whether on or off the field, that would impair public confidence in the honest and orderly conduct of matches and competitions or in the integrity and good character of participants.
- Not to do anything which adversely affects or discredits the game of Rugby Union, any member union, Dubbo Rugby Club or any other club, squad, team, competition, tournament, sponsor, official, supplier or licensee.
