Dubbo Rugby Union player Jim Ley was cautioned by a Judiciary meeting of the Central West Zone at Orange last night.
Ley was ordered from the field in the clash between Dubbo First Grade and Molong at No.1 Oval on Saturday.
Cumnock referee David Hock in a statemento the judiciary meeting last night said Ley had fended with a closed hand.
Both Ley and Dubbo captain Rob Wray attended the hearing.
Dubbo officials were disturbed at a report in one Central Western newspaper that Ley had made a stiff-arm tackle.
In his statement, Mr Nock said he considered his decision to order Ley off was sufficient punishment to both the individual and to the team.
Saturday's match was unusually heated and prior to ordering Ley off, Mr Nock has issues a warning against foul play./p>
A Wellington player also was summoned to attend the judiciary meeting but failed to appear.
The player, Reg Gardoll is reported to have had a disagreement with the referee, and was ordered from the field.
