ROOKIE of the YEAR
For a player having his first year in grade with the Kangaroos. It is preferable to recognise a junior Roo who has graduated within the club however does not preclude any young player (including a Colt) who has made an impact in his first season with the Dubbo Rugby Club.
Blake Sharp
MOST DEDICATED PLAYER
The player whose efforts at training and on the field sets him apart from the rest of the Club. This takes into account attitude, commitment to the club, eg, attending training even when injured and travelling with the teams and assisting when unable to play.

HARRY ROBERTS PERPETUAL TROPHY OUTSTANDING DEDICATION TO THE CLUB
The person who inspires others with his or her work ethic, commitment and passion for the Dubbo Rugby Club. This may be a player, committee person, Social Member or supporter.

PETER DAVIS MEMORIAL TROPHY
Peter Davis was a key member of the Dubbo Kangaroos team to win the Central West Rugby competition in 1987. The first to win it outright after the ’75 side were named joint Premiers with Orange Emus.
He was a 6’ 5” second-rower who had the ball skills of a five-eighth!
Pete played first grade with Parramatta and was selected for Sydney Colts prior to his transfer to Dubbo in the Police Force.
He was named in the Dubbo Rugby Club Team of the Century in 1999.
Sadly, Pete passed away in 2001 after a long illness. He was only 37.
A number of his closest friends decided it would be fitting to have an award named in his memory.
Pete is remembered for more than just his playing ability. He lived his life like he played football – always playing by the rules, accepting the referee’s decisions and never giving up.
Pete’s honesty made him an extremely popular member of both the rugby and wider communities.
He was always one of the first to welcome a newcomer and no-one ever heard him say a bad word or complain about anyone.
Compassion was another Peter Davis trait. It was especially evident in his work as a policeman.
He was a true sportsman in all facets of his life.
These are the characteristics that have been set as the benchmark for this award. It is an honour that recognizes a person’s character more so than his rugby skills.
Vince Gordon(Club Vest)
