Over the next two months ABC Open is featuring the Star Contributors of 2014. Meet Andrew Woodcock from Dubbo, New South Wales.

I first met Andrew at the 500 Words Writers’ Group in Dubbo back in April last year. He was quietly spoken and unassuming but had a steely confidence about him. Mind you, before meeting him, I had a sense of that steeliness through Andrew’s unwavering tenacity to write.
You see Andrew is a regular ABC Open contributor and by regular I mean every month he writes and publishes a 500 words story – always a quality piece, always on time. In fact, I took the time this morning to count just how many stories Andrew has written over the last couple of years and it’s ... drum roll please, 24 stories. That’s over 12,000 words!
